Black and White Movies

I would like to discuss the topic of black and white movies. Some people believe they are old and that's there is better things to be watching than a black and white film. After watching Arsenic & Old Lace, My thoughts toward black and white movies completely changed.
One of the reasons that my thoughts have changed was because of the dark comic elements this movie provided for it's audience. It was truly amazing that the director found away to make people laugh at the old aunt's for all the murdering they did. It was so very funny in so many different ways. I found myself while laughing saying, " that's horrible" but i was still laughing.
I feel like old movies have so many elements that movies today don't have. Black and white movies really are a wonderful thing. After changing my mind I am looking forward to watching more movies like Arsenic & Old Lace in the future.

Arsenic and Old Lace. Dir. Frank Capra. Prod. Frank Capra. Perf. Cary Grant, Raymond Massey, Jack Carson, and Peter Lorre. Warner Brothers, 1944. Videocassette.
